Mental Health Maintenance for Men

Hey Gents!

Today’s post is not going to be as light-hearted as some of our other posts because we are going to be taking on a more serious subject.

That is your mental health.

For those who haven’t watched our founder's tragic story that got him started in men’s health and ultimately the creation of Legendary Men’s Care, you can find it here.

105 is the average number of men who commit suicide each year. And the number of people effected by those suicides is much larger.

Our goal as a company is to bring that number down by 1.

We want to reach men whose flame is growing dim so we can fan it into the flame it was meant to be. Mental health is an essential aspect of overall well-being, and it's high time we acknowledge that men, too, need to prioritize their mental well-being.

In a world that often expects men to be stoic and unyielding, it's crucial to break the stigma and encourage open conversations about mental health. So, gentlemen, let's embark on a journey towards improving your mental health!

Take Time for Yourself:

Walking in the woods - Mental health

In the midst of hectic schedules and endless responsibilities, men often forget to prioritize self-care. Remember, you can't pour from an empty cup!

Carve out some time to do things that recharge you, preferably everyday, or as often as possible. Whether it's enjoying your favorite hobby, taking a hike, meditating on the blessings the Lord has given you, or simply enjoying a good book, make it a priority. Your mental health will thank you!

Embrace Your Emotions:

Contrary to popular belief, it's okay to feel and express your emotions. Bottling up your feelings can lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety, and can divide relationships.

So, don't be afraid to shed a tear during a touching movie or express your excitement when your favorite sports team scores a winning goal. Embrace the full spectrum of your emotions, even if it means shedding manly tears!

Maintain Healthy Relationships:

Connection with freinds

Nurturing meaningful connections with friends, family, and our spouse is crucial for mental well-being.

Surround yourself with true friends who encourage and support the best in you, and cut out or limit your time with people who drag you down. Engage in activities that promote bonding and create lasting memories. After all, a hearty laugh shared with loved ones is often the best therapy!

Exercise, Release, and Rock On:

Physical activity isn't just about looking good; it also does wonders for your mental health.

Find an exercise routine that suits your style, whether it's pumping iron at the gym, taking a bike ride, or engaging in a lively game of basketball. Exercise releases those feel-good endorphins, helping you combat stress and anxiety while giving you a rockin' bod!

Unplug from the Digital Matrix:

Shut off the screen

In today's hyper-connected world, it's crucial to take regular breaks from technology. Constant exposure to screens can increase stress levels and negatively impact mental health. So, unplug from the digital matrix occasionally, especially the media.

Engage in offline activities, spend time in nature, or have face-to-face interactions with friends. Remember, real-life connections are much more rewarding than virtual likes!

Seek Professional Help:

If you find yourself struggling with your mental health, don't hesitate to seek professional help.

Mental health professionals are trained to provide support and guidance. They can equip you with valuable tools to manage stress, anxiety, or other mental health challenges. Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

The Impact of Endocrine Disruptors on Mental Health:

Chemical toothpaste

Now for a lesser-known factor that can contribute to mental health issues—endocrine disruptors.

Endocrine disruptors are chemicals found in various products, including cosmetics, soaps, toothpastes, food containers, and even store receipts which can interfere with hormone production and regulation. Research suggests that exposure to these chemicals may have adverse effects on mental health, leading to increased anxiety, depression, and cognitive impairments.

While avoiding all endocrine disruptors is nearly impossible, you can take some steps to minimize exposure. Opt for BPA-free plastic containers, choose natural and organic personal care products, and try to consume organic food whenever possible. These small adjustments can make a significant difference in reducing your exposure to these potentially harmful chemicals.

When we were looking for hormone safe products for men, we were able to find any… even amount of natural brands and other so-called “men’s brands”.

That is why we created Legendary Men’s Care. We wanted to create a brand that customers could look for that would be safe for the hormone system and testosterone. Testosterone levels can have a huge impact on your mental health. Men with low T can suffer from wild mood swings and anxiety.

We started with the creation of endocrine safe toothpaste because the lining of your mouth is very absorbent to chemicals, so it is a crucial product to switch out for something safe.

In conclusion… Gentlemen, prioritizing your mental health is essential, and it doesn't have to be a daunting task.

Remember, you're not in this battle alone. Our becoming Legendary Facebook group is open to all customers where you can find health tips, and connect with other brothers in the same battle as you. We survive and thrive together!

As always we got your back,

Joe, Kyle, and Clark
